However, as explained at this link, our building is in use throughout the week by other groups, and their regular meetings have not been listed here, to make the calendar less cluttered.

Joint Communion ServiceJoint Communion Service Advent Sunday 10:30am we meet in partnership with our Methodist friends. The service will be led by the Rev Eddie Sykes and the Rev Dr Michael Paterson, who will preach. The readings are: Jeremiah 33.14-16; Luke 21.25-36 Even though we are at a level described as ‘Beyond Level 0’ in Scotland, we are encouraged to keep to the Covid protocols of hand sanitizing, wearing of facemasks, good ventilation, trace and track, and 1 metre social distancing in church. While there is now plenty of room, we still have Test and Protect obligations, so you will need to record your attendance. However, we are no longer asking you to pre-register for services – just turn up for a warm welcome!

Sung EucharistSung Eucharist Second Sunday of Advent Rev Dr Michael Paterson Our readings are: Baruch 5.1-9; Phil 1.3-1; Luke 3.1-6 Even though we are at a level described as ‘Beyond Level 0’ in Scotland, we are encouraged to keep to the Covid protocols of hand sanitizing, wearing of facemasks, good ventilation, trace and track, and 1 metre social distancing in church. We continue to sing hymns (wearing masks) and are now led by the choir, there is no physical contact during the Peace, and just the bread given to you as you take a socially-distanced communion, but we hope that you will find blessing from this time of worship as we gather in person.

The Lectionary readings for the day are: Micah 5.2–5a; Psalm 80.1–7; Hebrews 10.5–10; Luke 1.39–45 (46–55) Carol ServiceCarol Service – This will be a Carol Service at 4.00pm with choral and congregational carols. Sadly there will be no refreshments afterwards because of the coronavirus situation. There will be a retiring collection for CHAS and Action for Children.

Holy CommunionHoly Communion On Christmas Eve, at 6.30pm there will be a candlelit intimate Service of Holy communion around the crib. Depending on numbers this may be held in Church or in the Meeting Room.
